Two bridges in central Lithgow will be closed for a large part of the weekend.

The over-rail bridges will be subject to road works.

Their closure wil also enable the Council to carry out water retirculation works in the area.

In a statement, the Council said the Bridge Street Bridge and Sandford Avenue Bridge would be closed from 7:00am to 4:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday, (8 & 9 September 2018).

Detours will be in place for vehicles to use Eskbank Street for the duration of the works.
