May 12, 2019

DUBBO, Central West, NSW, Australia – A woman in Dubbo in the state's Central West was allegedly bashed and robbed, and had her car stolen, by two men on Friday night, moments after she pulled into a driveway in her car.

As the woman, who is 29, stopped her car in central Dubbo, a man opened the passenger door and took the woman's handbag and other property. As he did this he allegedly grabbed the woman's hair and pushed her head into the car door and window, resulting in a head injury.

The second man then dragged the woman out of the car, after which the attackers drove off in the woman's car.

Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District after opening an investigation and following inquiries arrested a 52-year-old man at a home in Narromine on Saturday afternoon. He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with aggravated robbery.

He was refused bail to appear in Dubbo Local Court on Monday.

The second man is yet to be identified.

The woman’s property and car have yet to be found.
