Car thefts spike in Katoomba, Leura, Blaxland and Glenbrook

KATOOMBA, Blue Mountains – Blue Mountains Police say they are dealing with a number of thefts from motor vehicles.

Police say there has been an increase in this type of crime in the Blue Mountains area, particularly in Katoomba, Leura, Blaxland and Glenbrook.

There has been a spike in thefts from cars in the past two days, police said.

Officers are calling on people using cars in the Blue Mountains to not leave any valuables in their vehicles, and to ensure their vehicles are locked, with the windows wound up.
