Central West police looking for teenager who attempted hold-up

CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – Police are looking for a boy who attempted to hold up a restaurant in the Central West on Wednesday afternoon.

The boy, aged 15 to seventeen, armed with a blade attached to a piece of wood, entered a restaurant in Forbes demanding cash.

A 42-year-old woman working at the restaurant yelled to a co-worker for assistance who ran to the front of the restaurant and the teenager fled, heading north on Rankin Street, Forbes.

Officers from the Central West Police District have commenced an investigation.

They are now appealing for public information to locate a teenager who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The boy is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between fifteen to 17 years, with a slim build, about 165-175cm tall, with light hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and shorts.
