Disneyland set to re-start operations, Covid precautions in place

Apr 19, 2021

BURBANK, California: Disneyland is set to reopen on April 30 and tickets are now being sold for the first time in over one year.

When Disneyland reopens on April 30, only California residents will be allowed to enter. There has been no announcement about when out-of-state visitors will be admitted to the park.

“When we reopen our two theme parks, we will have enhanced health and safety measures,” Disney Parks said in a statement. “Theme park reservations will be available online, in advance only, for a specific date, subject to availability.”

COVID-19 guidelines in place at Disneyland parks include face coverings for all guests under 2 years old, physical distancing measures and temperature screenings.

“Certain attractions, experiences, services and amenities will be modified, have limited availability or remain closed,” Disney Parks added.

Disney’s reservations system went online for the public earlier this week.

Disneyland has been closed since March 2020. However, Walt Disney World in Florida only closed for several weeks last year and reopened in July 2020.
