Domestic disturbance in Dubbo leaves 3 injured

A suspected domestic disturbance has led to the stabbing of a man in the Central West on Monday night.

The man, 45, was allegedly stabbed multiple times, resulting in serious wounds to his head, neck and shoulder.

Police and emergency services were called to a home in Grey Street, Dubbo around 7:20pm on Monday night. When they arrived they found the man sitting on the verandah of the home.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for further treatment. His condition is described as stable.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District entered the home where they spoke with a 23-year-old man. He was suffering facial injuries.

The man’s 53-year-old mother was also inside the home and was found to be suffering injuries to her face.

Officers arrested the 23-year-old man and took him to Dubbo Police Station where he was interviewed and later released pending further inquiries.

The police investigation is ongoing.
