Manhunt initiated after home invasion in Central West
Dec 28, 2020CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A manhunt is underway in the Central West following a Sunday night home invasion.
A woman at her home in Orange received a knock on the door just before 9:00pm Sunday night. When the woman answered the door a man allegedly assaulted her while forcing his way into her home demanding money.
The man was handed cash, however, he again assaulted the woman before leaving the home.
Officers from the Central West Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.
The man is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his mid-30s, 160cm tall, and with a stocky build. He was wearing a black cap, a black face mask, a long black shirt, and pants.
Anyone seeing the man is asked to contact police immediately.
Although allegedly assaulted twice by the man, the woman he allegedly attacked was treated for minor injuries.
