One dead as Holden and Ford cars collide in Gollan, near Dubbo
Jul 22, 2021CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A woman was killed and a man seriously injured when a Ford and a Holden collided head-on in the Central West on Thursday.
The two-car collision took place on Gollan Road, in Gollan, a township situated 60 kilometres east of Dubbo.
The crash occurred around 11:30am on Thursday.
Officers attached to the Orana Mid-Western Police District attended the scene.
The driver and only occupant of the Holden, a woman, died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, a man aged in his 40s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Dubbo Hospital in serious condition.
The Crash Investigation Unit has commenced an investigation.
Inquiries, police say, are continuing and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
