Station wagon leaves road and hits treet near Mudgee, 1 dead

MUDGEE, Central West, NSW, Australia – A man has been killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Castlreagh Highway, in the New South Wales Central West.

The crash took place around 6:00am on Thursday morning, Anzac Day, at McDonalds Creek, about 10 kilometres northwest of Mudgee.

Police say a station wagon travelling on the Castlereagh Highway left the road and struck a tree. The driver was the only person in the vehicle. He died at the scene.
