GRENFELL, Central West, NSW, Australia – A man has been killed in a single-vehicle truck crash in the state’s Central West.
Around 5:20pm on Saturday afternoon emergency services were called to the Mid-Western Highway, about 30km west of Grenfell, which is 162 kilometres southwest of Bathurst, after reports a truck carrying a load of gyprock hit a tree and caught fire.
The driver and only person in the truck, a 43-year-old man from Kariong on the NSW Central Coast, died at the scene.
Officers from The Hume Police District established a forensics examination perimeter at the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
