Two men to face Bathurst Court after assaulting Kelso couple

BATHURST, Central West, NSW – Two men were arrested on Tuesday in Bathurst after they allegedly assaulted a couple in their home in Kelso on Monday night.

About 7.50pm on Monday the two men called at the house on Topaz Court, Kelso.

The resident in the house, a man aged 50, who was later joined by a woman aged 44, were told by the men they were collecting money for a charity.

An argument broke out shortly after and the two men allegedly assaulted the couple.

The men then left the house, driving a blue Suzuki Swift.

Officers from Chifley Police District attended the scene and opened an investigation.

About 10am Tuesday 3 July 2018, the two men fronted up at Bathurst Police Station where they were arrested.

They have been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, and trespass.

The men were granted bail and will appear before Bathurst Local Court on Monday July 9 2018.
