Woman taken to Katoomba Hospital after crash on Great Western Highway

WENTWORTH FALLS, Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia – Police in the Blue Mountains have issued an appeal for witnesses to a two-car collision that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Wentworth Falls.

The road traffic collision took place just after one o’clock on Sunday afternoon at the Great Western Highway and Old Bathurst Rd / Dalrymple Ave intersection, in Wentworth Falls, in the New South Wales Blue Mountains.

Police say a silver Subaru attempting to enter Old Bathurst Rd turned across the path of a black VW heading east on the Highway.

As a result, both cars collided and were extensively damaged.

The front seat passenger of the Subaru, a woman, was taken to Katoomba Hospital for treatment. The driver did not require treatment. The driver of the VW sustained minor injuries but did not require ambulance transport.
