Young man dies in Landcruiser crash in Central West

CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – Officers from the Central West Police District are investigating the fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in the state’s Central West on Saturday.

Investigators have issued an appeal for anyone with information on the crash, which took place on The Bogan Way at Albert, 100 kilometres north-west of Parkes, to make contact.

Police have not revealed the identity of the 29-year old man who died in the crash. Preliminary investigations indicate he was ejected from his Toyota Landcruiser as it left the road and collided with an embankment, before overturning a number of times.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for motorists who were travelling on The Bogan Way on Saturday morning and saw the white Landcruiser to contact local police.

The crash is believed to have occurred between 1:30am and 3:30am on Saturday. A passing motorist came on the scene about 3:40am Saturday and alerted authorities.

On arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics located the body of the man near the Toyota Landcruiser.
