25-year old man killed as car collides with bus in Sydney’s west

SYDNEY, NSW, Australia – A 25-year old man has been killed in a collision between a bus and a car in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services, around 11:30am on Friday morning, were alerted to a report that a bus and car had collided at the intersection of Warren Road and Liverpool-Parramatta Transitway at Woodpark, in western Sydney.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 25-year-old man from Woodpark, died at the scene.

The bus driver, a 58-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigations Unit.

An investigation has commenced into the circumstance surrounding the crash and police say a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
