CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – Officers attached to the Central West Police District have arrested a man who was sighted walking along a street carrying a rifle.
Police swarmed on the man who was walking along Glenroi Avenue in Orange at around 8:45pm on Sunday night.
When apprehended and searched, the man, who is 27, was found to be in possession of a military style replica assault rifle and a knife.
The man was taken to Orange Police Station where he was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm in a public place, and for being in possession of a knife in public place.
He was bail refused ahead of an appearance at the Orange Local Court on Monday.
