Another Bathurst local claims $200,000 lottery first prize

Mar 1, 2019

BATHURST, Central West, NSW, Australia – The $200,000 first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot has gone to a Bathurst local for the second week in a row.

On Wednesday the prize was won by someone who has yet to claim it, after buying their ticket from NewsPower Bathurst at the Stockland Shopping Centre.

Last week a Bathurst tradie in his 40s won the same prize, also picking up $200,000.

The man scored the prize on a free ticket he won from an earlier draw.

His entry also won a consolation prize of $1,000.

The man was oblivious to his good fortune until he was startled by The Lott with his winning news.

“Oh ….!” he exclaimed when the extent of his win was revealed.

“That’s awesome. My wife’ crying right now.”

“I won a free ticket the other day on an earlier draw and now it’s given me this. It’s a whirlwind,” he said.

“I was thinking about this the other day and I thought $200,000 would be very nice if I ever won it,” he laughed.

“There’s a couple of things we’ll do, pay off a few things and buy a block of land for a new home.”

“This has just made my day,” he said.
