As Covid crisis lessens, face masks no longer needed at federal parks

May 18, 2021

WASHINGTON D.C.: The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced this week that hundreds of millions of visitors to U.S. national parks will no longer need to wear face masks.

Also, members of the public entering federal buildings and federal lands will not need to be masked, along with the country’s millions of federal workers and contractors.

Details have not yet been released, such as when the no-mask rule would go into effect or who would be responsible for determining the vaccination status of people entering federal facilities.
