LITHGOW, Central West, NSW, Australia – A 66-year old man in Lithgow has been arrested and charged after he was found in possession of nine guns.

The guns have been seized by Chifley police after they called on the man at a home on Lett Street, in Lithgow on Friday afternoon.

The 9 firearms and ammunition were confiscated by the officers, and the man arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station.

The man, who now faces a string of charges related to the firearms, has had his firearms license suspended, and has also been charged in relation to an assault, stalking, and offenses related to making threats.

He has been granted conditional bail, subject to an appearance at Lithgow Local Court on Thursday 18 June 2020.
