ATHENS, Greece: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is visiting Greece this week to meet Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Greek foreign ministry announced.

Among the agreements to be signed include those in the fields of energy, military cooperation, and an undersea data cable.

This will be Mohammed bin Salman’s first visit to an EU country since the 2018 killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

In May, Greece and Saudi Arabia agreed to establish a joint venture to lay a data cable across the Mediterranean Sea, that will link Europe with Asia.

The Crown Prince was due to arrive in Greece on Tuesday of this week.
