Lithgow mayor hits up Roads Minister for assistance on local roads

May 28, 2019

LITHGOW, Central West, NSW, Australia – Lithgow City Council is seeking state government support for maintenance and upgrading of roads in the City of Lithgow Local Government Area (LGA).

On Tuesday, Mayor Ray Thompson indicated he had invited Local Member Paul Toole, who was recently appointed as the New South Wales Minister for Regional Roads and Transport, to take a tour with him of roads in the Lithgow area that have issues that need to be addressed.

“I was pleased to host Minister for Regional Roads and Transport Paul Toole during our inspection last Thursday on a number of roads within the Lithgow LGA that need attention, and was extremely pleased that Mr. Toole was able to attend and see the difficulties presenting first hand,” Mayor Thompson said in a statement released on Tuesday.

“Paul has been a strong advocate for our community and in his capacity as NSW regional Roads and Transport Minister is in a position to consider our approaches and provide assistance where he is able” said the mayor.
