A large number of toys were stolen in the early hours of Thursday in Capertee.

A burglarly of premises on the Castlereagh Highway in Capertee netted the thieves the toys.

Police in Lithgow have opened an investigation into the theft. They say the burglary occurred sometime before 6:30am on Thursday morning.

Troll dolls and snow domes were amongst the property stolen.
