CENTRAL WEST, NSW – A man appeared in a Central West court on Wednesday charged with having a replica gun and ammunition, and possessing and supplying cocaine.
The court was told the man was stopped by police while he was driving a white Toyota Hilux on the Mitchell Highway, at Geurie, around 7:40pm on Tuesday night.
The man was pulled over for a random breath test by officers attached to the Orana Mid-Western Police District.
The test returned a negative result; however, after further checks the officers searched the vehicle, seizing cocaine and ammunition.
The 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.
Following further inquiries, officers executed search warrants at homes in Bultje and Argyle streets in Dubbo between 9.30pm and 10.55pm on Tuesday night, where a replica handgun, a can of OC spray and drug paraphernalia were seized.
The man was bail-refused ahead of his appearance at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday.
