Man, 40, who disappeared from Dubbo on Friday found dead

CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – The body of a man reported missing on Friday in the state’s Central West has been located.

The man, aged, went missing on Friday form a home in Dubbo. The search for him extended to Bathurst, Parkes, Dubbo, Manildra, Molong, Peak Hill and Orange, where he was known to travel.

The man was last seen on Friday morning around 9:45am driving his black Subaru car southbound on the Newell Highway at Dubbo.

His family reported him missing when they could not get in contact with him. Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District and the man’s family held serious concerns for his welfare.

Earlier on Saturday, the body of a man believed to be the person listed as missing, was located in bushland near Belowrie Road, Dubbo.

Inquiries into the incident continue, however the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police have thanked the public and the media for their assistance in the search.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
