Jan 19, 2023

NEW YORK CITY, New York: New York Mayor Eric Adams traveled to El Paso on the Mexican border last weekend and declared that “there is no room in New York” for migrants being sent by bus to his city.

During his unprecedented visit, Adams also criticized the administration of fellow Democrat, US President Joe Biden, stressing that “now is the time for the national government to do its job about the immigrant crisis at America’s southern border.”

Republican states have sent busloads of migrants north to New York, as well as other cities, exacerbating a housing crisis in New York City, in a bid to bring attention to migrants flooding their states.

Adams previously said the migrant influx ha scost New York City, which is is already facing a major budget shortfall, as much as $2 billion.

The Republican governors of Florida and Texas have sent thousands of migrants to cities run by Democratic politicians, including New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
