RAMALLAH, Palestinian territories – A Palestinian who was shot by the Israeli army during protests in the West Bank two weeks ago has died in hospital.
The Palestinian Health Ministry, in a statemen released on Saturday said the man, Muhammed Ibrahim Shureyith, 27, had succumbed to his wounds.
Shureyith had taken part in protests which take place every Friday in solidarity with Gazans who also protest on Fridays for the Great Right of Return and an end to the 12-year long blockade, on the Gaza-Israel border fence.
During the protest two weeks ago in Ramallah’s suburban village of Al-Mazaraa al-Ghabryeh when Shureytih was shot, eight other protesters were also shot by Israeli forces, while another man, Othman Ahmad Ladadweh was killed.
