GLENBROOK, Blue Mountains, Australia – A girl in her late teens was winched to safety by a critical care helicopter during a major three-hour rescue operation in the Blue Mountains late Friday afternoon.
The girl was then airlifted to Westmead Hospital where she was admitted just after 6:00pm Friday evening.
The teenager sustained head and leg injuries when she fell from a cliff in Glenbrook, in the Lower Blue Mountains, around 3:40pm on Friday afternoon.
NSW Ambulance paramedics said the girl fell a significant distance after falling off the cliff.
