Three children who had been missing for a year, believed to have been parentally abducted and possibly living in northern Queensland, have been located in the Central West and southwest of New South Wales.

The discovery of the children follows a nationwide alert last Thursday by the Australian Federal Police and New South Wales Police. It is understood the alert led to a tip off from the public.

Abducted brothers Levi and Blake Moore were located in the Central West town of Cowra on Tuesday, while their sister Jessica Moore was located and recovered on Monday in  Henty  in the state’s southwest, a town midway between Albury and Wagga.

Jessica Moore has since been reunited with her mother.

The children had been missing since September 2017, with the Federal Circuit Court of Australia issuing a recovery order last month.

NSW Police have also arrested a 40-year-old Queensland man on outstanding New South Wales and Queensland arrest warrants for unrelated matters. The man is scheduled to appear before Bathurst Local Court on Thursday morning where the Queensland Police Service will seek the man’s extradition to Queensland.

The AFP has issued a warning to the public that anyone who is found to be providing support to an abducting parent may themselves be committing a serious offence.

 The AFP said it wanted to thank the public and media for their continued interest and support in the matter.

It should be noted that a Section 121 Publication Order under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) has been made to allow publication and broadcast of this information. Specifically, Order 13 permits a report of the recovery of the children. This report complies with the requirements of the Section 121 Publication Order under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth). In accordance with the orders of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, other than reporting the above facts, there can be no further reporting of this matter.
