CENTRAL WEST, NSW, Australia – A woman has been killed in the state’s Central West after being struck by a car while walking on Friday morning.

The collision occurred around 9:30am Friday in Forest road, Orange.

Emergency services were were alerted and were quickly on the scene.

A NSW Police statement said the driver will be interviewed later on Friday.

Officers attached to Central West Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

“As inquiries continue, anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage is urged to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” the NSW Police statement said.
